Grasshoppers and crickets
The order Orthoptera includes all grasshoppers (short-horned and katydids), crickets and locusts. They are medium to large in size and include some of the largest insects known. They have large hind legs and are sometimes known as the jumping order. Locusts is a name given to swarming and destructive grasshoppers therefore all locusts are in fact grasshoppers but all grasshoppers are not locusts.
